Indian Cricket Players are governed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Early Indian Cricket Players
India's national cricket team did not play its first Test match until 25th June 1932 at Lord’s.
The team gained power in the 1970s with the coming out of players such as batsmen Sunil Gavaskar and Gundappa Viswanath, Srinivas Venkataraghavan, all-rounder Kapil Dev and the Indian spin quartet of Erapalli Prasanna, Mohinder Amarnath, Bhagwat Chandrasekhar and Bishen Singh Bedi.
In 1980s, India developed a more attack-minded batting assemble Mohammed Azharuddin, Dilip Vengsarkar and all-rounder Kapil Dev andl Ravi Shastri.
In 1990s, Sachin Tendulkar and Anil Kumble joined the team.
The following year, Javagal Srinath and India's fastest bowler since Amar Singh made his debut. India's national cricket team underwent a year of change as Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid etc.
In 2000, the former captain Azharuddin and fellow batsman Ajay Jadeja were caught up in a match-fixing scandal and given life and five years bans correspondingly.
