It is one of the busiest districts in Indian State, West Bengal.There was the Muslim dynastical rulers in the medieval times and the British Empire in India. Pirbaharam Shikiha Khwaja Anwar Berh, Shah Alam's Darga are the religious and  the rule of Hindu kings, the Maharaja Golapbag, Nawab Hat, Ramana Bagan, and the Palace of Burdwan Kings are built.

The famous shrine of Sarvamangala,said to contain the remnant of Sati's body (The wife of Lord Shiva), the umbilicus, is situated in Bardhaman District. In this district, there are several other Hindu Temples and Shivalingams.

Ramadan a Holy Month

 Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, which lasts for 29 or 30 days. It is month of fasting in Islamic calendar.

41mEpL6TQSLSARABIA_Ramadan_140341 Ramadan is the month in which Muslims refrain from eating, drinking and sexual intimacy with their partners during daylight hours. This aims to teach Muslims about patience, spirituality, humility and submissiveness to God. Each year depends on the moon.  It is the month in which the first verses of the Holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad.
Origin of Ramadan
The word Ramadan is derived from Arabic root R-M-D which means intense heat, scorched ground and shortness of rations. ‘Hilal’ is a day after the astronomical new moon. Muslims avoid obscene, irreligious sights and sounds. Sexual intercourse among couples is allowed after one has ended the fast.

During fasting eating and drinking and resistance of all temptations is persuaded. There should be purity on both thoughts and action. The elderly, constantly and mentally ill are exempted from fasting. Pregnant woman are also exempted from fasting.Child-Reading-The-Quran.jpg

Muslims are also encouraged to read entire Quran. The entire Quran is completed at the end of the month. As it is a festival of giving and sharing they prepare special foods and buy gifts for their family and friends. These are also offered to the poor and the needy.

At sunset, the family gather and break the fast and this meal is known as Iftar. The meal starts with the eating of three dates.
Charity
download (1)Charity is important during Ramadan. The Muslims spend more in charity and many pay their ‘zakat’ during Ramadan, to receive the blessings. It is believed that if a person helps a fasting person to break their fast, then they receive a reward for that fast.
Id Ul Fitr marks the end of the fasting period of Ramadan and the first day of the following month after another new moon has been seen. Id ul Fitr means the back to the fitrah.

Charminar, Monument Of Hyderabad, Telangana




Charminar has been a historical place for over 400 years and a global icon of South India. This monument is located in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Charminar is an early medieval monument of HyderabadTelangana. This old monument was erected in the year 1591.This medieval monument is an example of Muslim art and architecture and the Nizami architecture that was developed in the latter half of medieval era. It is now the global icon of South India. Charminar is one of the most important tourist attractions of Hyderabad. Many local festivals are celebrated here, like Ramzaan.
Charminar is situated on the east bank of Musi River; to the west lies the Laad Bazaar, and to the southwest lies the richly ornamented granite Makkah Masjid. It is listed as an archaeological and architectural treasure on the official "List of Monuments", which has been prepared by the Archaeological Survey of India.

History of Charminar
There are several views on the construction of Charminar. But mostly it is said that Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the fifth ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty built the Charminar in the year 1591 after shifting his capital from Golkonda to Hyderabad.
