Piu Sarkhel, Indian Classical Vocalist

Piu Sarkhel was born in the year 1965 at Kolkata, India. She has been considered as one amongst the very few female artists who represents the Indore Gharana of Hindustani Vocal Music. Piu Sarkhel's induction to the realm of Indian classical music began with the hands of her father. She has undergone a rigorous training under her father Shri Kamal Bandhopadhyay. Shri Kamal Bandhopadhyay was a disciple of late Ustad Amir Khan of Indore. He has also assisted his guru. To know more read:
