Tourism in Manali

Manali is a resort town in the mountains of the state of Himachal Pradesh near the Kullu Valley.

Manali is the beginning of the ancient trade route to LadakhKarakoram Pass and Yarkandand Khotan in the Tarin Basin. It serves as the gateway to Lahaul-Spiti and Leh Districts.


The British first introduced apple trees to the country in this area. Manali is consisted of several tourist spots along with its astounding scenic beauty. The tourist spots are enlisted below.

Rohtang Pass in Manali

The pass is encompassed by small streams, alpine pastures and waterfalls.

Hidimba Devi Temple in Manali: Hidimba Devi Temple, also known as Dhungri temple , is dedicated to the presiding goddess of Manali.  Hidimba Devi is only worshipped in Manali in all over the India.

Solang Nullah, encompassed by rich deodar forests, is a popular tourist destination.It is just 13 km away from Manali.

Solang  serves as a base camp for mountaineering expeditions to Anjani Mahadev, Hanuman Tibba and Patalsu peak.

Vashisht Village in Manali
It is a sacred village located near the Manali market. There is temple in the village, which is dedicated to the Sage Vashisht, who is also mentioned in the Rig Veda.
